Dasher Park Landscaping Bid - Posted June 1, 2026
Request for Bids – Park Landscaping and Privacy Screening
The City of Dasher is accepting sealed bids for landscaping services at the city park. The project consists of furnishing and installing Brodie Cedar and/or other landscaping materials along the park fencing to provide visual privacy, improve appearance, and assist with reducing traffic and surrounding noise.
Scope of Work
The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the project, including but not limited to:
- Installation of privacy landscaping along designated park fence lines
- Selection and planting of Brodie Cedar and/or shrubs suitable for South Georgia climate conditions (the city will accept additional recommendations)
- Use of plant species that are drought tolerant, low maintenance, and capable of thriving with limited water availability
- Preparation of planting areas, including grading, soil preparation, straw, and cleanup
- Installation of an irrigation system if required to ensure plant survival and healthy establishment
Bid Requirements
Bids shall include the following information:
- Detailed description of proposed trees, shrubs, or landscaping materials
- Quantity and spacing of proposed plantings
- Estimated mature height and width of plantings
- Description of irrigation system, if included
- Total project cost, including labor and materials
- Estimated timeline for completion
- Warranty information for plants and irrigation components
- Contractor license and insurance information
- References from similar completed projects
- A detailed sketch, rendering, landscape layout, or presentation showing the proposed design and placement of all trees, shrubs, irrigation systems, and other landscaping features
Preferred Plant Characteristics
Preference may be given to landscaping proposals that:
- Provide effective privacy screening
- Assist in reducing surrounding noise
- Require minimal ongoing maintenance
- Are drought resistant or water efficient
- Enhance the overall appearance and safety of the park
Site Visit
Contractors are encouraged to visit the project site prior to submitting a bid to verify existing conditions and measurements.
